Our kids love to cook. We made carrot cake and turned them into pumpkins. Yum!
We accomplished this with little difficulty and only a small amount of germs added.
I put the icing in baggies so they could decorate their own mini pumpkins.

The smart one. He took one look at the bag and put it directly in his mouth, then squeezed the icing into his mouth. He did not need the cupcake :)
I managed to wrestle the bag away and "helped" him squeeze it over his mini pumpkin.

We choose not to trick or treat. Halloween is not my favorite "holiday." My kiddos are wimps, I do not need to take them places and have them scared for life. We also do not want to hide from the world. Instead, our family passes out candy to those who come by. #3 had a hard time sharing the candy, he just wanted to eat it.
