Day 134 - More Valuable Lessons

Lesson #2: When you check into a hotel in a college town, ALWAYS check to see if a visiting sports team is staying there. Basketball players eat a lot of food. We hit the continental breakfast a little late.

Lesson #3: ALWAYS carry Lysol disinfectant wipes and plastic bags in your car. We hit the road around 8am on Friday morning. Not long into our trip, #1 starts yelling that #2 is throwing up!!! I am on a 12 lane interstate with no place to pull over. I was finally able to exit into downtown Tuscaloosa. Where in the world am I supposed to pull over and clean up my kid with 2 other yahoos in tow?Seriously, God led me to an old Methodist church with an adult daycare. I pulled into the small parking lot. I pulled #2 out (still in his car seat). I put my "big girl boots on" and set to work. I rang the door bell to the adult day care and sheepishly asked for plastic bags. The lady on the other side was sooo nice. Apparently, everyone inside was watching us while we entertained them. #2 and #3 played in the small parking lot while I finished my cleaning. Praise God he loves his blanket still. The poor blankie and his pants took the largest hit. The pants hit the trash and the blanket hit the bleach. Whew! I am pretty sure he was just car sick. Every so often I would point out things outside the car to divert his attention to the movie, video games, or toys. We even saw a zebra and camel in a horse trailer, a castle on the side of the road, and a giant rocket. Praise God he had put his Leapster down before all this happened!!!
On the road again.
